KAPLA
The Dutch toy Kapla comes from the Dutch word, “Kabouterplankje,” meaning “gnome plank.” This is because all the wooden planks are exactly the same size and fit perfectly in the hands of a small child. Or a gnome, of course. They also resemble the parquet floor of a goblin. The popular children's building block is actually a Dutch invention. Before it was a toy, it was used to replicate a castle to scale. Can your imagination build something beautiful out of Kapla?
